About Gold Leaf Studios

Remember when you would go to the five and dime and buy those cute little nativity pieces to display in your home? They were made of papier mache, and the little people wore the most colorful clothes. Every year you just couldn't wait to add to your display! The one drawback was that they were very delicate, and had to be replaced because they broke.

Well, these pieces have faded into just a happy memory of Christmases past, right? They are no longer sold in stores. The only nativity sets available are those drab plastic ones that all look the same, and just don't express the joy of Christmas the way those of days gone by did.

The artist at Gold leaf Studios did their homework, and after years of study they are now ready to present quality nativity pieces and sets made in the style and tradition of years gone by.

Hand crafted right here in the United States of America, artists from Gold Leaf Studios are trying their best to create nativity pieces of the artistic quality of those made by European craftsmen over fifty years ago.

Each piece is cast of the finest American clay found in Tennessee, Kentucky, and South Carolina. All materials used including paints and finishes are made by manufacturers in the United States. Each piece starts as fresh white bisque fired at temperatures over one thousand degrees, and the delicate detail is applied painstakingly by hand.

Our pieces, though still fragile, are far more durable than those of the past, and could easily become family heirlooms for generations to come.

You won't find them in any specialty store, or in department stores. You'll only be able to purchase them exclusively through Petit Caillou. So order now before quantities run out. You can tell you're getting a piece of quality by the gold enamelled leaf hand painted on the bottom of each and every piece. This stands for the Gold Leaf of quality that only human hands can create. Are the pieces perfect? Of course not. Each one has its own character and charm, a fact appreciated by those who love true hand crafted art.

If you have any questions please email our distributors at Petit Caillou. If they can't help you, they'll forward your queries to us.
